Last week I was on my way to pick Doll and Carmen for photoshoots, when Melissa called. I told her what I was up to and she asked if she could come over and hang out. Naturally I said yes. The photoshoot with Doll and Kimberly was an unexpected day of fun. I had never seen either of these girls before I picked them up at their hotel that day. Just when you thought Summer was over (unless you're down under), I have a great shoot of Doll at Zuma Beach. It was a perfect day for for a shoot. There were very few people around - only one guy trying to look in on our business, but he didn't get close enough to hinder the shoot. The weather was perfect as well. The tide was a bit high and the waves surprised us a couple of times. Not only did she get soaked, but I did as well. And I forgot to bring a change of clothes, so I spent the rest of the day soaked to my underwear. At least Doll got to dry off before putting her clothes back on. I got a great variety of locations, positions, angles, etc. and she is so great to work with. I also shot some video, which I have not even looked at yet. That will be forthcoming. The video camera got wet, then the camera was acting a bit funny. Hopefully the video will be OK and I'll have it on the next update. After the shoot we were starving and searched for a place to have lunch. I found a place called the Paradise Cove Beach Cafe in Malibu. This place is the best kept secret. I've driven by it so many times and never knew it was there. It's right on the beach, off of Pacific Coast Hwy. But you can't see it from the road; you can only see a sign. There are tables with umbrellas on the beach as well as inside seating. There is full bar service inside and out. The food was awesome. I had a swordfish steak and possibly the best clam chowder I've ever tasted. This is a great place to hang out on a sunny afternoon and have some drinks and great food. I really enjoyed the place and look forward to the next opportunity to hang out there. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed shooting them.
